FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the difference between Documentary Style and Cinematic Style?

Play this clip to view the distinct differences.

Will there be bright lights on the video cameras?

We normally work without any additional light because our cameras are very sensitive to low light.  If we do need additional light for a particular scene, we will use a 10 watt light.

Can I get photos from my video?

YES!  We can create photos from your video!!!  We call them videographs.  Click here for samples.

Do I really need two video cameras with operators?

Two cameras with operators provide a much higher likelihood of a smooth finished video since this is a "one-take" event and unplanned incidents often occur.  An unmanned camera is "locked down" and a photographer, guest or wedding party member may block that camera's view at times.

Also, tripod legs stick out and if the tripod can be knocked askew by the foot of a passing guest, it will be.  If we've found a good viewpoint, the photographer may like it also and stand directly in front of an unmanned camera.

Another consideration:  the camera would likely be set up when the room is empty, however when the guests are all standing, what will the camera see?  An unwritten rule of events:  the tallest guest will sit or stand directly in front of an unmanned camera.

The following clip clearly shows the importance of 2 cameras.

Consider this:  If you have a single camera shoot and the situation in this next clip takes place, pulling footage from another angle would not be an option.

What if it's windy at my outdoor ceremony -- will the vows be heard?

"Sound is half of the whole." This is very true in video production.  We use several mic sources (all hidden, of course) to bring you the clearest audio possible.  You will never know there was any wind at all.  Watch and listen....
